Daniel Adam rolls into second week of DIRTcar Summer Nationals

Continuing his DIRTcar Summer Nationals title chase, Daniel Adam checked in to Davenport (Iowa) Speedway on Tuesday afternoon for the second week of the Hell Tour.

With a strong field of 38 Late Models signed in, Adam finished sixth in his heat race and was unable to make a transfer spot in the last chance showdown.

Switching gears to the much slicker Adams County Speedway (Quincy, Ill) on Wednesday, Daniel dealt with mechanical issues in the last chance showdown which prevented him from making the $5,000-to-win show.

At Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) on Thursday, Adam finished third in his heat race and started seventh in the $5,000-to-win feature before fading to finish 19th.

For the first $10,000-to-win show of the week at Brownstown (Ill.) Bullring, Daniel was unable to make the main event after a sixth-place finish in his last chance showdown.

Deciding to not follow the Hell Tour, Adam raced closer to home on Saturday at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway for a $2,500-to-win weekly event. After finishing third in his heat, Daniel started and finished ninth in the 30-lap feature.

Rejoining the tour at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway on Sunday, Daniel made the main event but faded late and finished 18th.
